Safety, Welfare and Member Protection

An Inclusive Club

The SWU Hockey Club rules ensure our club is welcoming, inclusive and safe for all our members and the hockey community.

Our club rules and procedures - National Integrity Framework

South West United follows the National Integrity Framework (NIF), a set of policies from Sport Integrity Australia and Hockey Australia that help keep our club safe, fair, and inclusive.

The NIF sets clear expectations for behaviour and provides consistent processes for managing concerns, protecting everyone involved in our sport — players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families.

The 5 Core NIF Policies from Hockey Australia

Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
Hockey Australia Member Protection Policy
Hockey Australia Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy
Hockey Australia Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy

Hockey Australia Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling Policy

These policies are supported by guidance on prohibited conduct, reporting options, education resources, and Sport Integrity Australia’s independent complaint handling.
