Fee Discounts
The South West United Hockey Club offers several discounts for particular individuals.
First Time BHA/BWHA Player Discount
South West United offers players competing in the BHA or BWHA senior turf competitions that meet the following eligibility requirements a 20% Discount on the SWU component of their hockey fees*.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Has never previously played in any BHA or BWHA competitions;
- Playing in either of the following divisions, SWU Senior Turf Teams (Women's Div 2 or 3, and Men's Div 3) for the full season (no casual players);
- Must be aged 24 years** or under;
- Must be currently undertaking full-time tertiary studies, an apprenticeship, or equivalent; and
- Must be living independently.
* The discount is only for the SWU Hockey Fees. The discount will not be provided for additional costs, such as Hockey Queensland registration fees.
** As of the 1st of January in the year of the season the discount is applied.
The committee provides the right to not provide, or revoke, the discount even if all eligibility requirements are met. To Apply please contact the the appropriate turf coordinate (Women's or Men's).
Young Player Discount
South West United offers players competing in the BHA or BWHA senior turf competitions that meet the following eligibility requirements a 10% Discount on the SWU component of their hockey fees*.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a full season senior turf player (no casual players);
- Must be aged 24 years** or under;
- Must be currently undertaking full-time tertiary studies, an apprenticeship, or equivalent;
- Must be living independently; and
- Has not received the First Time BHA/BWHA Player Discount for the season (i.e., you cannot hold both discounts at the same time)
* The discount is only for the SWU Hockey Fees. The discount will not be provided for additional costs, such as Hockey Queensland registration fees.
** As of the 1st of January in the year of the season the discount is applied.

Family Discount
South West United offers a 10% Discount off the full fees of a family with 3 or more players, where at least one player is a dependent (i.e., school aged, turning 18 or under for the current season). This is designed for families living under the same roof, however does cater for separated parents (i.e., shared/split custody of children and/or step-siblings).
Examples:
- 1 parent and a minimum of 2 school aged children;
- 2 parents and a minimum of 1 school aged child; or
- 3 or more school aged children (siblings, including step-siblings).
* The discount is only for the SWU Hockey Fees. The discount will not be provided for additional costs, such as Hockey Queensland registration fees.
To enable this discount when registering, the Primary Contact and/or Emergency contact must be the Senior Player(s) registered (if the Parent(s) + Children option is used for the discount).
The committee provides the right to not provide, or revoke, the discount even if all eligibility requirements are met.
Goalkeeper Discounts
South West United offers any goalkeeper providing their own kit a 20% Discount on SWU component of their hockey fees*
