Cent Auctions

A Cent Auction is a fun fundraising event where the participant determines their chances of winning. There are over 100 raffle prizes, all with their individual bucket in which participants place their lucky tickets. The more you love a prize, the more tickets you throw into the prize bucket.

How does it work?

Participants first book seats in advance via email (swufundraising@gmail.com) or text (0408031833).

Entry is $10 and includes entry into a lucky door prize, morning tea and tea/coffee.

Participants then purchase ticket sheets. Each sheet costs $1 and has 10 tickets (10 cents a ticket giving Cent Auctions their name).

A ticket sheet consists of

• 10 tickets with the same number
• A matching ticket stub which the participant retains as proof of their purchase of that number

Organisers walk around the room visiting each table with the prize and a ticket bucket. The participant puts as many tickets as they wish in the bucket. A winning ticket is then drawn from the bucket. The winning participant shows their ticket stub as proof of purchase.

Timing

Doors open an hour before first draw. (9:30 for a 10:30 pm start).

Duration is 2 – 3 hours with a 20 minute break for morning tea.

Westside HQ, 3 Clewley St Corinda (200m from Corinda Railway Station).
